Cabinets!

The upstairs bathroom cabinets are complete:



The kitchen cabinets will be finished tomorrow.




And the bookshelves in the living room:



We also have tile in the master bath. Elise didn't like the picture so I stripped it. There's tile in the other upstairs bathroom too. This picture doesn't do the irridescence justice.

The Deck

Trying to give you a sense of the size of this deck. It's the area shown in red and green below:

The deck is VERY high up. This picture shows the support poles and the original "swing" deck:

Drywall!

E and I stopped by yesterday and they were well underway with the drywalling. Woooo!

Work Continues Apace

After a series of inspections this week, they are ready to begin the next phase of construction, starting with insulation:



Drywall is loaded into the house, but as of last night, they hadn't put any up.

Little updates..

We went by this weekend and they had installed the deck poles. The deck is noticeably more stable now. They also put the ceiling in the screened porch.

Half done!

Today they're finishing the siding, making the house half done. Here's a picture from the back porch of the sunroom in our bedroom:



And they delivered the poles which will hold up the deck.

Not much to report...

the house is about half sided, and this week we're supposed to have inspections by the county, followed by another flurry of construction.

I don't have a picture handy...

... but the inside of the house is all wired out and the outside is wrapped. Windows are in. Siding soon -- it's rainy so they hadn't sided it as of last night.
