Dinner @ the Reichstag

After Elise's rehearsal today, I met up with her and we walked through the Tiergarten to the Reichstag's lawn. Then we set up a picnic blanket and pulled out the things we bought at the open air market -- bread, grapes, cheese, strudel, and an orange -- and a bottle of wine we picked up from a grocery store. Voila, dinner!

After that we walked down to the Brandenburg Gate, and past it to the Holocaust Memorial. Something was on fire (not the Reichstag) which added a creepy note to the already-creepy memorial.

ps. the wine was €1.99. Awesome.

ok...I don't know if I'm allowed TWO postings within he hour but...in the mail yesterday I got this magazine offer for a trial issue of 'Garden & Guns' - I sent for the trial issue - such elements of contrast! Well some folks think this blends - we prob. got it because we subscribe to Oxford American - a Southern literary magazine...G&G is def. Southern and Steve...I thought of you when I went on their website to discover this article:http://gardenandgun.com/stories/features/going_whole_hog-106#1
