Museum Day
We got up this morning and had breakfast in the hotel. Bacon and eggs! After several days of coffee and pastry, I was looking for a protein-based breakfast. It didn't disappoint... and was perhaps even better as it was included with the price of the room.
We then set out for the Pergamon Museum, where there are lots of relics from ancient Pergamon (Greece) and Babylon. It was really cool, the scale was really striking.
After the Pergamon, we walked next door to the Bode Museum. This is filled primarily with religious items from German history. Like the choir seats pictured below:
Then, we went to the German History Museum. This was pretty cool stuff, going back to the Roman conquests, through the middle ages, and on to modern times. We didn't look at the stuff from WWII on, but we certainly got plenty of history!
Then, an afternoon nap, and Elise has just left for her first performance.

Gee, I'll bet our choir wishes we could sit in those chairs on Sundays!
Those museums look fantastic!
